HotelSir.com Standards and Policies for Market
Research
When conducting market research among our
members, site visitors or others, HotelSir.com
conforms to industry standard market research
practice.
Our principles:
1. HotelSir.com protects the confidentiality of
our survey respondents by not disclosing their
personally identifiable information to third
parties, including our clients, advertisers, the
media and members of the public.
Respondent confidentiality includes the following
principles:
a. HotelSir.com uses respondents'
personally-identifiable information only for
internal research purposes.
b. HotelSir.com makes its consultants and
subcontractors (interviewers, interviewing
services and validation, coding and tabulation
organizations) aware of HotelSir.com
confidentiality principles, and they agree to
maintain and respect respondents'
confidentiality.
c. HotelSir.com reports survey findings to others
in aggregate form only. We do not report any data
permitting identification of individual
respondents.
2. HotelSir.com does not use market research as a
guise for commercial activity such as lead
generation or for direct sales. No sales efforts
or other commercial activity will be taken
towards a respondent simply because of his or her
participation in a HotelSir.com survey.
3. While we use our survey data in the aggregate
to support our marketing efforts, it will not be
used on an individualized basis with respect to
those who have participated.
4. The Internet is an online community that
allows unparalleled access to knowledge,
worldwide communication, and commerce. Community
is built on trust and inherent in trust is the
concept of your right to privacy -- the Internet
is no different.
